After Two Years, Out of County Card Costs Go Up
Effective January 1, 2009, the cost for people living outside of Codington County will go from $37 to $41 for a family card and from $29 to $32 for a senior card. The last time the cost of these cards were increased was in 2007. The costs for the household card is arrived at by dividing the library budget of $842,350 by the estimated population 20,530 and rounding the result to the nearest whole dollar. The senior card is 78% of the cost of a household card.
