Yes, you must have a current and active library card from Watertown Regional Library to check out ebooks and audio books.
How can I see what ebooks are available for checkout? · Return to top of page
You must log in to OverDrive using your library card to see the entire collection of materials available for checkout by Watertown Regional Library patrons. If you do not log in, you will only see a partial selection of the ebooks available.
What devices are compatible with ebooks and audio books checked out through OverDrive? · Return to top of page

In most cases (check OverDrive's FAQ for specifics), you will need to have Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) installed on your computer and/or the OverDrive Media Console app installed on your portable device to be able to check out ebooks from the library.
How do I set up Adobe Digital Editions (ADE)? · Return to top of page
- Sign up for an Adobe ID.
- Download Adobe Digital Editions and install it on your computer.
- During the installation process, you'll need to activate ADE using your Adobe ID. (You'll have the fewest number of problems if you use the same email address to sign up for the Adobe ID and to register/activate any devices.)

How long can I check out materials? · Return to top of page
Ebooks and audio books may be checked out for one, two, or three weeks. You may set your default preferences by logging in to your account and clicking on "lending periods" or you may choose the length of time at checkout.
How many items can I check out at once? · Return to top of page
You may check out three items at a time. You may check out any combination of ebooks and audio books, but you are limited to three items total.
How do I return an ebook early? · Return to top of page
- Navigate to the library view in ADE.
- Click on the arrow by the book you want to return.
- Select "return borrowed item." (Just deleting the file from your reader or ADE will not return the ebook to the library so someone else can check it out immediately. The ebook will still be checked out to you until the due date.)
- The next time you connect your reader to your computer, the book will be deleted from the reader.

Can I return audio and video materials early? · Return to top of page
No, you cannot. Only ebooks can be returned early. Audio and video materials checked out through OverDrive will expire after their due date.

You'll need to install the correct OverDrive Media Console on your computer.

You will need a library card to create your user account the first time you use the site.
How do I create an account on OneClickDigital? · Return to top of page
Click on "Create New Account" at the top right of the screen, enter your library card number, select your operating system, download method and portable device type. If you are not using a portable device made by Apple, select "Other." Fill in your personal information and click on "Create an Account" at the bottom of the screen.

You can use OneClickDigital's Media Manager, or you can try one of these alternative methods:
Please keep in mind that these alternative methods will not work for all titles due to licensing and legal restrictions. The recommended transfer method is through the OneClickdigital Media Manager.
If you choose to use manual download during account setup follow the instructions in iTunes help or Windows Media Player.
I don't see my titles on my portable player after transferring them with OneClickDigital Media Manager. Where are they? · Return to top of page
Depending on your portable device the titles may be in a new folder called "audiobooks," "RecordedBooks," or some other title. Look for a new folder. Inside the folder you should find subfolders containing your titles. Again, depending on your device the subfolders may have the same name as the titles or they may just be numbered.

Yes. But only if you're using OneClickDigital Media Manager.
